Navigation can be achieved using different technologies. Laser navigation with reflectors is the most common method, but navigation using magnetic tape or magnetic markers is also an effective option. It’s also possible to use natural navigation, where the vehicle learns to recognize its surroundings and navigates using fixed reference points.

We are partners with Kollmorgen and use Kollmorgen’s NDC Solutions to navigate our Production Butlers. Kollmorgen is a global leader in AGV navigation and a close, important partner to us at Front AGV. Their development center is located in Gothenburg/Mölndal, just 300 meters from our office, where we can test functionality and demonstrate AGVs in operation.
